The largest forest on the planet is on fire for days now and it continues to keep burning.
The wild that is spread out over 2.1 million square miles was responsible for processing the carbon of the environment in order to protect the world from carbon emission and maintain a balance.
But this is the time of crisis as wildfires have been burning the forest down with no sign of a replacement for nature’s sustenance.
The wildfires that have been going on for about a month now has filled the country of Brazil with smoke emitting from the burning of everything the forest houses.
This smoke is making Brazil sick. The smoke has filled cities and has started to affect the health of the citizens, especially causing trouble for children.
According to a report the number of patients coming in with respiratory problems has raised high at the Cosme e Damia Children’s hospital.
Elane Diaz, who is a nurse herself by profession, said that she had to take her son, five-year-old, Eduardo, to the Hospital 9 de Julh where she had to wait to even get an appointment.
She said that it has started to make her worried because this is causing direct effects on the health of kids.
Daniel Pires, who is the director of the hospital as well as a pediatrician, says that they had seen respiratory problems cases at the beginning of the month but the cases have just doubled up now.
He said that this period is a tough one because dry weather and smoke mix up that can cause illness in kids like pneumonia, secretion, and, coughing.
Brazil government has deployed its army to the region of crisis in order to take control of the situation.
Several other countries have also extended funds for the situation to help Brazil saving the Lungs of the world.
