An American woman and her girlfriend were robbed and punched by a gang of teenage boys on a bus in London for refusing to kiss as entertainment for attackers.
The lady who was left with a broken jaw claimed that they are not afraid of being visibly queer.
In the early hours of May 30, Melania Geymonat, 28, and her American partner, Chris, 29, were left bruised and bloodied after being attacked following an evening out in West Hampstead, North West London.
The women held hands in the bus that portrayed them as a couple in front of the gang of men. This is why they asked them to kiss making crude sexual gestures.
The victims claimed that the attackers started harassing them aggressively on their refusal of kissing each other. One of them even threw coins on them.
The couple was subjected to a vile attack on its way to Chris’ home in Camden. They were robbed during the assault and were left with facial injuries.
While Chris was left with a broken jaw, Miss Geymonat has a broken nose.The couple shared their assault’s pictures on the internet to raise awareness of LGBT crimes. The attack is utterly unacceptable. Homophobic crime should not be tolerated by anyone.
