A flock of angry geese was caught on camera chasing an alligator down a golf course and interrupting the game much to the amusement of the players.
The incident occurred during Christie’s Critters Invitational at the PGA National Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, US.
As the onlookers were observing the alligator crossing the golf course from a safe distance, they soon noticed a flock of geese chasing the reptile and angrily honking along the way.
While the scene may seem unusual, it is quite common for gators in Florida to trespass on golf courses as if they owned them. In addition, animal enthusiasts pointed out that geese and ducks may react in an aggressive way, even towards much larger predators, when their nests are compromised.
After the footage went viral, people couldn’t help but compare the flock of geese to the game called Angry Birds.
“Even alligators know that geese are the spawn of satan,” one person joked.
“I’m convinced that geese are gang members!” another user wrote. “They’re always in groups never let you get too close unless they get something out of it (food) and if you look at them up close for too long they begin to flap their wings as a sign of their dominance.”
One amused viewer suggested: “Things that terrify gators: 1) Jaguars 2) Geese 3) Steve Irwin”
Predator or not, one thing is for sure – don’t mess with angry geese or get ready to be honked away!
