An upset mother has driven her car into a barbershop after having an argument with the owner because she wasn’t happy with her son’s haircut.
The incident happened at Delta Barbershop in California where 28-year-old Ruby Delgadillo confronted the barber because she felt “upset with her son’s haircut.”
After a heated exchange of words, the woman allegedly returned to her vehicle together with her son before ramming the car into the shop.
According to the Antioch Police Department, the woman was driving a blue Toyota Prius with the license plate of 8LHB387.
“She took the kid to have a haircut, paid for it, and came back. She complained about the haircut, and they got into an argument,” one of the witnesses, James Nguyen, claimed.
According to a KTVU report, the argument resulted in the woman screaming at the barber before kicking the glass door and taking off to her car.
Ruby then rammed the 2006 Prius into the shop, shattering the door and windows and injuring Mr. Nguyen.
“I saw the car taking off, backing out and then taking off real fast. The owner of the barbershop was already laying down inside,” he added.
Following the incident, the police branded the assault as an intentional act and launched a hunt on Ruby who fled the scene.
“After interviewing the victim and several witnesses on scene, officers were able to determine this was an intentional act,” they wrote.
The 28-year-old hasn’t been found as of this writing.
