An angry cockatoo parrot was caught on camera destroying anti-nesting spikes around the windows in order to be able to freely move across the ledge.
The incident occurred in Katoomba, NSW, Australia, where the sassy cockatoo was seen removing the anti-bird spikes with force before throwing them down to the ground below.
As one passerby, Isaac Sherring-Tito, noticed, there were dozens of spikes laying on the street he passed by. After looking up to see what caused them to fall, he noticed an upset parrot removing the remainder of the barbs designed to keep birds away.
Obviously, the cockatoo behind the rebellious act is no ordinary parrot as it used both its beak and feet at the same time to fight the obstacles.
After the video went viral, people couldn’t help but praise the brave parrot for fighting his way across the ledge and defying humans.
“I’d love to have a Cockatoo nesting on my windowsill. To be able to watch nature at its best. To watch the babies hatch. Are you kidding me? Leave them alone and let nature have its way!!!!” someone wrote in the comments.
“You don’t mess with a cockatoo. You don’t stop a cockatoo. You don’t get in its way. The cockatoos are the future!” another one joked.
As one alleged cockatoo owner added, the removal of the spikes was most likely done on purpose. “I have a cockatoo as a pet and they are incredibly intelligent and can adjust to human environment very quickly. I wouldn’t exclude the possibility that he’s really knowing what he’s doing,” they suggested.
