Ariana Grande was seen running off the stage before addressing the visitors after getting hit by a lemon during her Coachella Festival headlining set.
In the video which went viral on Twitter, the 25-year-old pop singer is seen getting struck by a large lemon wedge while performing her song NASA on the main stage.
Shocked by the assault, Grande ran off the stage before addressing her fans saying: “What the f***? That’s because one of y’all threw a lemon at me! S***.”
As the fans of the Thank U, Next singer quickly suggested, the lemon was probably thrown by an angry Beyoncé fan due to the singer’s 2016 album called Lemonade.
Beyoncé fans had recently been upset after a fake report suggested that Grande got paid twice as much as Beyoncé did for her 2018 headlining set.
“We’re told the contracts for Grande and Beyoncé were structured exactly the same way,” an insider revealed, striking back at the fake report.
“$4million for the first weekend and another $4million for the second.”
After ‘recovering’ from the lemon assault, the former Nickelodeon star finished her concert by singing ‘Sorry’ together with Justin Bieber who appeared on the stage as a surprise guest.
Speaking of the festival, the 25-year-old crooner said:
“I haven’t been on stage in like two years. I came out here I had no idea I was going to be on stage tonight.
“So anyways this is my first time on stage in two years. I had to get my groove back, my swag back. By the way – album coming soon.”
