How often we forget to be grateful to all the people serving in the armed forces. It is because of these people that we are living a peaceful life out here in the cities. But what we don’t give a second thought to is the fact that these people have families too.
The thought of being separated from our families terrifies us. Imagine what it would be if we knew they were at a place which could be fatal. Army kids are way more courageous than they are accredited for.
In this video that went onboard, we see an army mom surprising her three kids by going to their school without any prior notice. She is seen, in this video, appreciating her kid’s resilience.
Sgt. Zerphlee has just finished her nine months of deployment in Afghanistan. And all she wants now is to see her kids.
First, she goes to surprise her middle child, her daughter.
Her daughter, Janiyah, is amidst an interview with her classmate. During the interview, her classmate tells her that she can thank the person behind her for all her freedom.
Upon turning, Janiyah finds her mother to be there and takes her in a forever hug.
Next, Sgt. Zerphlee goes to surprise her youngest child. She snuck into her daughter’s classroom before her.
As her daughter enters, all her classmates shout ‘congratulations.’ Sgt’s daughter goes running into her mother’s arms. Her mother also has a special teddy made for her daughter, in an army uniform.
Lastly, Sgt. Zerphlee goes into the school gym where her eldest child, her son, is doing an exercise blindfolded. After finishing, his gym teacher tells him to take off his fold.
But this one doesn’t look as excited about seeing his mother as his sisters.
He says to his mom that he got embarrassed as there were a lot of girls in the gym. But at the end of the day, he was glad that their mother had returned to him and his sisters safely.
