Arnold Schwarzenegger Urged People To Stay At Home As He Self-Isolated With His Pets


Arnold Schwarzenegger has spoken out about the coronavirus pandemic and urged people to stay safe by self-isolating and listening to the experts.

As the former governor of California said in his video that was viewed millions of times on Instagram, everyone should do their part by self-isolating, especially those above 65.

The former bodybuilding champ also admitted he self-isolated as well, whereas he is enjoying the company of his pets, including Lulu the donkey and Whiskey the miniature horse, at his California home.

“See, the important thing is that you stay at home because there’s a curfew now. No one is allowed out. Especially someone who is, like, 72 years old. After you are 65, you are not allowed out of the house anymore in California. So we stay home and we eat here,” Mr. Schwarzenegger said.

As he went on to feed carrots to his adorable pets, the Conan the Barbarian actor also asked people to stay away from public places and gatherings to curb the outbreak.

“No more restaurants, okay? No more restaurants, forget all that. Public gatherings, restaurants, gymnasiums, out the window,” he added.

Not only is the former governor doing his part to contain the spreading of the killer bug but he has recently expressed his support for people working on the front lines and helped in raising awareness about the pandemic.

“Remember to thank the heroes who are serving so selflessly right now – from doctors & nurses to grocery store staff and delivery people,” he wrote in one of his tweets. “I play an action hero in the movies – they are the real action heroes.”

Mr. Schwarzenegger has also teamed up with TikTok who donated $3 million to his After-School All-Stars organization to help feed those in need during these tough times.
