We all love Disney princesses, we always imagine what if these characters being in real, what will happen, and how they will behave.
Well, an artist has imagined and created this Disney princess according to today’s modern days.
Disney celebrities are now more down-to-earth and all credit goes to the artist Andhika Muksin. He is an illustrator based in Jakarta, Indonesia who loves to create unique stuff he finds on the internet. This time he chose Disney princesses, he decided to introduce them as regular girls living regular lives, you know, the sleeping-with-your-mouth-open and taking double-chin pictures with your front camera types of normal lives.
He creates iconic illustrations that combine modern reality with classic Disney. The timeless appeal of Disney princesses has also inspired the work of Andhika Muksin’s illustrations who shows how these fairytale characters would look like if they were living a normal life.
“My history with Disney goes way back,” Andhika told Bored Panda. “It all started with a VHS tape of Alice in Wonderland I received as a birthday gift when I was about 5 or 6. I was obsessed with it. I would watch it almost every single day after school. Not long after that, the Disney Renaissance era started, the obsession became a bit out of control and cemented my status as a Disney fanboy.”
“These characters have stuck with me since childhood, so it kinda came naturally for me to make fan arts of them.point 99 | But instead of “remaking” them in my own aesthetic style, I put a naughty twist on them.point 183 | Over time, as I kept posting my Disney stuff, I noticed that more and more people re-shared them on their Instagram, and I got more and more positive DMs and comments as well.point 326 |
