Getting the news that you are suffering from a major disease that will require you to stay inside the walls of a hospital is frightening for an adult, let alone a child.
No one wishes to spend days inside a hospital with dull walls and medicine fumes in the air.
For a child, this fear is even massive. With needles and medicines all around, the kids only keep getting anxious. This is not ideal for a sick person’s health and especially a child.
To help these kids spending their sick days frightened inside the boring walls of the hospital, the artist stepped up to make a difference.
Silvio Grilli is an Italian artist who understood the pain and suffering a child must go through admitted in a hospital.
To help the kids with the same he launched a project called, Ospedali Dipinti. He took the initiative and launched a project where they would paint and transform the hospital walls into magical kingdoms.
Silvio Grilli paints the colorless walls of the hospitals to help kids fight their fears.
The Ospedali Dipinti project was launched in 2012. He had brought together in several individuals and Non Profit Organizations to work for the same idea.
They all wanted to make hospitals a little friendlier for the kids and so they came together in the mission.
They created magical rooms inside hospitals that were pure bliss to the kids. These beautiful rooms would spark the thunderstorm imaginations inside a kid’s brain.
Kids love fairytales and living inside one would definitely make them giggle with joy. That was the main aim of the mission, to make kids happier.
This would make the kids believe that they are inside a game and their sickness will not be able to traumatize them. Even the hospitals become a better place for the kids with magic on the walls.
