No doubt, artists are the most talented people out there.
They can make use of anything to create fascinating objects.
No matter if it’s discarded plastic or a damaged metal, an artist can bring it to life by working their magic on them. It is these technical skills that make an artist stand out among the rest of folks.
Simon Berger is an artist who has got probably the most magical hands possible, as he can create art even when he is destroying something.
Yes, we’re not kidding. Berger just needs a chisel and a hammer, and he can carve a glass portrait for you in no time.
The talented carpenter began his journey with wood but soon shifted to a number of other materials including glass.
Berger has even used an upcycled calculation machine to create a human portrait.
To carve out a portrait on a piece of glass, the artist first draws an outline on the glass. After that, he differentiates what spots he wants to break and what he wants to retain.
The glass used for such portraits is more like that of a car’s windshield so that it doesn’t break in an instant.
“Human faces have always fascinated me,” Berger said.
“On safety glass, these motifs come into their own and magically attract visitors. It is a discovery from abstract fogging to figurative perception.”
Berger’s breathtaking artwork has recently been exhibited in Artstübli, Philipp Brogli’s gallery located in the Swiss city of Bazel. And it was a massive success.
The internet has fallen in love with Berger’s amazing portraits. Here’s what the internet users had to say about the artist and his work:
