A renowned astronaut has spoken out about alien life forms and claimed there is no doubt that aliens exist while adding that they could already be among us.
According to Dr. Helen Sharman, a 56-year-old cosmonaut who first took off on a mission in space in 1991 whereas she spent over a week on the Mir space station before her return on the solid ground, “aliens exist.”
When asked about the topic of alien life, the first British female astronaut claimed aliens definitely exist since there are “billions of stars out there.”
As she added, however, they don’t necessarily look anything like us and could be invisible to our eyes.
“Aliens exist, there’s no two ways about it. There are so many billions of stars out there in the universe that there must be all sorts of different forms of life,” she said in an interview with The Observer Magazine.
“Will they be like you and me, made up of carbon and nitrogen? Maybe not. It’s possible they’re here right now and we simply can’t see them.”
Previously, a British paper also reported that Dr. Sharman expressed her wish to “meet an alien” while talking to children at a primary school in London.
“I don’t know [if they exist]. Maybe they’re totally see-through. I don’t think any were close to my spaceship but there must be some out there. I would love to meet an alien,” she allegedly said.
What are your thoughts on this astronaut’s words? Do you believe that aliens are out there and do you think that they could be among us all this time without us ever knowing about them?
