Every woman feels happy when she gets compliments for her beauty, and we think that beautiful people life is easy and wonderful.
But many studies show it’s hardly heaven on earth for them. Some may force you to think that beauty is more of a curse than a blessing.
Research shows that people feel jealous about beautiful people and when they meet someone beautiful, they try to put them down out of fear or jealousy. For instance, research has proven that if an attractive person has a job interview and is being questioned by a recruiter of the same gender, there is a chance, they won’t get the job because the interviewer will feel threatened.
People in the office often gossip about good looking people because they have no other way to put them down and they can’t take away their looks, but they can damage their character.
Good looking people have agreed and express that person are constantly more competitive, specifically with them, projecting their insecurities on them, and pushing them away for fear of competition, rejection, jealousy, or any other reason.
Psychologists call this phenomenon the Halo Effect. Therefore, if someone’s good looking, people expect them to have a loving family, a successful job, and perfect life.
Attractive people feel that there are a lot of expectations and they have to perform well professionally and that their career success naturally has to keep pace with their looks.
But it’s not right because they fail too. And sadly people judge them continuously. And heaven forbid if they complain. If attractive people face any problem or get into trouble, many people believe that it is all their own fault.
Research also suggests that aside from the beautiful face, the body also counts. It’s not necessary that people who are considered attractive have a fit body too and are an average weight, which makes healthy people stand out.
Of course, being beautiful can have its own advantages, but it still comes with its limitations.
It’s also an asset that can disappear after some time.
As they age, attractive people feel their physical beauty slipping away in a very magnified way. The important thing is that beauty doesn’t decide your talent or success in life. Take it from a cute guy: “Really though, it’s more about the charm I have that lets me get away with a lot.”
