‘This Morning’ viewers were shocked and felt a little bit strange after the show’s doctor, Doctor Chris, informed them that toilet paper might actually be bad for you.
According to the resident doctor, women are also wiping their bums wrong.
This may make you feel a bit embarrassed and anxious, but just imagine how it must have been for poor Rochelle Humes and Philip Schofield, who had to sit on the sofa listening to his discussion.
“I want to give an important message here about wiping your bottom, and this is aimed at women who may be prone to water infections,” he said.
“Women who are prone to those sort of infections should wipe their bottom from front to back. If you do it back to front to back you’re transferring bacteria.”
Is anyone wiping their bums from back to front? Why would that be better than front to back? Do we need real answers?
Many people thought that the advice was completely unnecessary as everyone knows exactly how to properly wipe their bums.
One Twitter user wrote: “Yes thanks #ThisMorning but I do know how to wipe my arse.”
Another person said: “I can’t believe we are being taught how to wipe our bums on TV. Surely it’s common knowledge?”
If you haven’t mastered the art of wiping your bum yet, then we would like to hear your story.
Doctor Chris also claims that ‘experts’ believe that toilet paper is ‘bad for our health and unhygienic.’
“It does very little to keep people clean, removes some poo and moves the rest,” he explained.
He suggests using a bidet. Doctor Chris also added: “If you move your bowels every day, say in the morning, move your bowels and then have a shower.”
