What would you do if you see a snake lying in your way in the woods or somewhere else?
You would probably try to move along it without causing a disturbance. The best you can do is gently move past the reptile without making it angry.
However, when one Australian man encountered a snake blocking the pathway of a dirt road, he didn’t act wisely, prompting the creature to attack him.
The incident happened when the man was driving somewhere with his friends in Somerset, at the northern tip of Australia.
It was night and the only source of light was the headlamps of their vehicle.
As the group was moving on the dirt road, one of them suddenly spotted a snake slithering across the road. The creature would have almost been run over if they hadn’t applied the brake in time.
Everything was going fine until when one of the men got out of the car to remove the snake from their path.
Instead of devising a safe strategy, the man directly approached the serpent and grabbed it by its tail.
After that, he picked up the snake’s lateral body and started pulling it slowly towards himself.
God knows what had been going around in his mind but the snake surely had enough of him. At last, the serpent reacted and bit the man on his leg.
It happened all of a sudden and the man had no time to defend himself against the instantaneous attack.
The man screamed and dropped the snake before running away from the scene with an injured leg.
The incident was captured on camera by the group who can be heard laughing heavily after the snake bites their friend.
