The Borisovsky region, Belarus had an unexpected guest recently.
With humans on the lockdown, animals have started to show up in villages as well as cities. They finally fell free enough to come out and wander around places.
Recently, when the Borisovsky region had this visitor, people had no idea what to do. A little bear cub that was malnourished was found wandering around in the village.
The little cub was looking for food. This is when a farmer came to its rescue and now he has the most adorable and unusual pet in the world.
The bear cub that was found wandering was very young. It was too young to be accepted by the Zoo authorities and defiantly too young to survive on its own in the world.
It would not have had a good end if Nikolay Vasilievich Terletsky would not have decided to step and adopt the baby.
Brown bear population is on the verge of extinction in Belarus. Because of the same, the species has been listed in the Red Book.
Keeping the same in mind Terletsky tried contacting all the authorities he could following the legal procedure but received no response.
He was left with no option. He could either put the cub to sleep or send him back to the wild.
Terletsky wandered in the forest for two days looking for the cub’s mother but had no luck.
He could not let the baby go to bad faith. So, he decided to keep the bear on his farm and now the bear has a name too.
Little Vasilisa has now received permission to stay in human care.
Terletsky is keeping her on the farm that specializes in fish cultivation. He says that he is going to build a huge enclosure for the bear to keep him under observation and in nature.
