In all administrations of Donald Trump concerning the anti-Mexico, the irony lies in the food and beverages.
After all, Americans always loved Mexican food products.
Be it beer or avocados, these imports from Mexico is one such bright spot in the brewing struggling industry.
The inexpensive margaritas also helped catapult to the selling figure of the year. And talking about avocados, Americans just love them. As a matter of fact, Mexicans produces the avocados more than any other country.
However, if the trade with Mexico is to stop, the United States would be run low on the avocados more quickly. Depending on the year’s timing, Americans might even run out of avocados as of right now.
Sources claim that Americans would soon run out of avocados within a couple of weeks. And this would be true, only if the president completely closes down the Mexico border. As a matter of fact, Mexico supplies 100 percent of avocados in the United States as of now.
Steve Barnard, the chief executive, and president of its distribution have explained that California recently has a small crop which wouldn’t be enough for other months.
It has now become a worth discussing scenario as Donald Trump has threatened in closing the border. Barnard states that Mexico would be using a strong immigration law in order to stop the thousands of people in trying to get into the United States.
He also explains that the detention areas have been maxed out and they would take no illegal products henceforth, as the next step includes in closing the border permanently.
Whether or not the choice of closing the border is relevant is not known as of now. However, if it were something to be true in the future, then the Mexicans would probably suffer more due to lack of avocados production.
The chairman of the Council of the Economic Advisers of the White House, Kevin Hassett, has given his statement. In the statement, the chairman has stated that there is a lot that moves and how Border Patrol and Customs would deal with it.
