A cute baby orangutan threw a tiny tantrum when his mother dragged him away from playtime.
3-year-old Berani was pulled by mother Sari as he threw orange-tantrum but the two made up right away with the sweet youngster kissing his mama.
More photos of the little orangutan show his playful nature. Other snaps show him enjoying a sip of water after playing and snugging under a yellow blanket.
It was photographer Koen Hartkamp who captured the hilarious moment during a visit at Pairi Daiza zoo in Belgium.
“Just like all small children, Berani still has to listen to what mum says even though he’s getting a bit more independent … and judging by the picture he didn’t like it,” Koen said.
Berani and his parents arrived at the award-winning zoo in 2017.
One internet user commented: “When you see the love and bond it’s just crushing to think off all the babies in the wild being taken from mothers to be kept as pets and performers, etc. I was lucky enough to see orangs in the wild. Mother and baby. That will be a thing of the past soon.”
Another wrote: “These must rank as one of the most endearing creatures on earth. We must change the way we think and act towards our planet, to ensure we can always treasure their presence.”
A third said: “To everyone you finds these animals adorable, please boycott products containing palm oil as its production is decimating the orangutan’s natural habitat. Yes, palm oil IS in too many products but there are alternatives available. Use your consumer power to save the orangutan.”
Someone else added: “animals do a far better job of raising their young than a lot of humans, discipline coupled with love and security raises well balanced young of all species.”
