A baby’s growth in the womb is a fascinating thing that remains largely inaccessible to us except through ultrasound pictures and the occasional kick or stir.
Parents often choose to communicate with their babies through conversation, reading books, playing music, and touch. Yet babies can hardly communicate back.
In one surprising and unreal video, a father captures a video of his baby moving around in mom’s belly.

The video is shocking, presenting a side of pregnancy that is rarely shown. While many people know that babies shift and push, and may have felt this before, most pictures and videos don’t actually show it. Watch closely, and you can see the baby kick and stick its legs out.
Commentators are astonished by the video. One posted,
“That’s so cool! I’ve never seen a baby move that much, or seen it that clearly before.”
“Wow! That is Amazing!! Best feeling ever when your pregnant is to feel the movement of the baby,” stated another.

Some viewers have noted that the baby is ready to be born. Some have shared their own stories of what they experienced during their own pregnancies.
But not everyone who has seen this video has been so kind. Some viewers have equated the video with watching an alien and have said that they are never going to be pregnant themselves.
Others have asked what many people must be thinking—does it hurt? “My baby doesn’t move half as much as that and it’s so uncomfortable how on earth do you take it?” asked one viewer.

Pain, amazement, and disbelief aside, this is just one example of what one mother experienced during pregnancy. We often don’t see such real depictions of pregnancy, and unless we’ve experienced pregnancy ourselves, we don’t know what it’s like on a daily basis.
The video definitely makes us wonder what babies experience and what prompts them to move around and kick. Why do some babies move more than others, and why are videos like this just so shocking?
