When Keira-Mae Jones was rushed to a hospital emergency room, she was only 2 days old.

After spending 5 months in hospital, the doctors decided to end the poor soul’s life support. In a shocking turn of events, the parents have been arrested as prime suspects for murder.

Alex and Aimee Jones sell dog kennels in a small business in Dale Close, United Kingdom. Neighbors attested to this fact, saying that the family was raising around 16 dogs in their backyard. One neighbor said she talked with Aimee over how doctors were thinking of ending life support.

In the first bit of rather suspicious behavior, the neighbors all said they never heard or saw the Jones bringing their newborn baby to the house. However, it may simply be because Keira-Mae was so young that the couple never had a chance to show their bay girl around the town.

The local police said that the Jones have both been arrested and are currently being questioned by detectives to see if they were really responsible for the baby’s death. He described the injuries that Keira-Mae sustained as “catastrophic” without going into much detail.

The police chief tried his best to console and comfort the small town over the tragic death of Keira-Mae. He ensured that their best detectives have been assigned to dig into the case. He also said anyone who needed help or someone to talk to may consult them.

Moreover, in a rather confusing recommendation, the chief asked that people refrain from going on social media to discuss what may have taken place. Just before saying that, he acknowledged the sorrow and shock with which the community was taking the death of the young girl.

The police said they are asking for witness accounts on this case. Because the victim was so young and utterly defenseless, even the slightest hints that the police can gather will contribute to resolving this case in a just way.

On July, Aimee had shared the news with her Facebook friends – 2 months after their daughter was severely injured. In it, Aimee said she and her husband wasn’t sure how they could make memories together with their young child.
