Due to her adorable resemblance to the viral “Mandalorian” character, a rescue kitten is dubbed “Baby Yoda Cat.”

The pet, who doesn’t have a real name yet, has gone viral after Jana Aviles, veterinarian assistant, posted her picture on Facebook.

The little cutie also had Yoda-like paws, which is how she got her name.

A woman in Kannapolis, North Carolina, discovered the cute feline and took it to the Cabarrus Animal Hospital on Dec. 15.

“Everybody fell in love with her instantly,” Aviles told the New York Post. “She had sores all around her neck, bad sores, an upper respiratory infection, fleas, you name it,” Nancy Rominger, a volunteer with the Rowan County Humane Society, told Small Joys.

Interestingly, the little cutie has obviously Yoda-like ears, which is how she got her name.

Rominger said that before her rescue, Baby Yoda was friendly and affectionate and wasn’t feral.

She was admitted to the Cabarrus Animal Hospital for treatment until she came to the Humane Society and is on the mend.

She’s doing quite a lot better, but it will still be a while, “Rominger said. Baby Yoda still lacks her canine teeth, which is why she often “bleps”.

Baby Yoda is a viral celebrity now, and Rominger said the Humane Society already had plenty of offers for adoption.

The group hopes to find a local family when it’s time to give her home forever. They’re not exactly sure why Baby Yoda looks the way she’s doing, but she definitely draws attention to the state’s plight of homeless kitties.

“In a way, it was a bit frustrating, a lot of phone calls, a lot of publicity, but if it helps people know that there are cats out there that need help, it’s worth it,” Rominger said.

Baby Yoda, happy holidays. We hope you’ll shortly find a good home.
