Banana is that sort of a Party Mix lolly that has an extensively differing consumer opinion about it.
Some absolutely love it while others regard it disgusting, believing that its original place is in the bin.
Allen’s Lollies, being innovators of the lollypop business, have once again come up with a new lolly that has received a mixed response from the consumers.
Enter the chocolate-coated banana!
These people have not just made lollies out of bananas and put them in a fancy bag. They have, in fact, coated them in chocolate to attract more consumers by making a hybrid flavor.
Head of Marketing Confectionery at Nestlé, Joyce Tan, said: “Allen’s is a proud Aussie brand many of us have grown up with, so when we decided to make our much-loved original bananas bite-sized and cover them in chocolate, there was only one way to mark the occasion.”
To celebrate the launch of all-new banana-chocolate lollies, the guys at Allen’s decided to coat the Coffs Harbor’s Big Banana in New South Wales with molten chocolate syrup.
The price of the new lollies is rather an attractive one. One pack will cost you just under $5 and they are totally gluten-free so that’s another plus of these.
The new sweet is available in Coles convenience stores and other departmental stores all over the world.
Allen’s has been generous in providing us novel sweets this year. They introduced chocolate-coated raspberry bites and then added Black Cats only bags to their collection.
As it appears, the chocolate-coated bites have been a major hit for the company as there are already two varieties of the sweet available and we are looking forward to getting more.
Black Cats, on the other hand, were a sheer surprise for the fans.
They are also up for sale in supermarkets. Mr. Tan added: “We hope that it sells so incredibly well that it will be part of our range for many years to come.
“They are, without a doubt, the number one lolly that fans have wanted in solo packs. A lot of people have said they only buy Party Mix just to eat Black Cats and then give the rest away.
“We’ve followed the social media movement that has connected aniseed lovers nationwide, creating a unique community that are mighty, loyal and passionate about their lollies. We’ve heard their cries.”
We hope Allen’s keeps adding more and more delicacies to their arsenal to treat our taste buds.
