Barack Obama has made a lovely tribute to wife Michelle Obama on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
The former president wrote in his note that even if people cannot give their mothers’ hugs in the current circumstance, he hopes that they offer them an extra thank you. He then went on to thank Michelle Obama, “the woman who makes it all possible” and wished her Mother’s Day.
Michelle, in her post, made a tribute to Marian Robinson, her own mother and other moms around the world amidst the ongoing pandemic.
The 56-year old Becoming author wrote that from birthdays to graduations, to family trips, her mother has always stood by her side to offer her support, shared laughs with them on the joyous occasions, and been their rock to get through tough times.
She further added that in such a challenging moment, particularly in parenting, we are all reminded that things rarely go as planned. Mothers across the world are working tirelessly to manage their families, offices, communities, and themselves amidst the global crisis.
And she knows many of them are separated from the families today due to physical distance or being a part of essential workers and are sacrificing time to keep other people safe.
She added that many of them would prefer to stay in the house, spend quality time with their families.
Michelle advised people to take this day to reach out to exceptional mothers in their life including aunts, elders, friends, and mentors and spread extra love today.
The former first lady has an impressive as well as inspirational output, as seen in the documentary Becoming in Netflix about Mrs. Obama’s high-profile book tour of her 2018 memoir with the same name.
Recently, Mrs. Obama has made a lot of virtual appearances for coronavirus causes that include supporting more widespread availability to vote-by-mail before the 2020 election and reading books to children with the idea of offering the parents at home a break.
