Batman is amongst the most iconic superheroes of all time.
And this is why cities across the world have been lighting the building with the renowned Bat-signal to celebrate the legendary character’s 80th anniversary.
Every year, Batman Day is observed on the third Saturday of September to honor the Dark Knight. To mark this special occasion, its emblem has been illuminated in London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Paris, and Barcelona with thousand of the fans coming out to attend the spectacle.
The events included a panel discussion and signing by Batman writers in New York, a 5 km Batman night run in Los Angeles apart from the projection of Bat-signal.
Even after 80 years of existence, Batman’s fans are excited to see where Bruce Wayne’s journey going in the next chapter with actor Robert Pattison taking up the role.
News of his playing Bruce Wayne had been doing the rounds since a long time until it was confirmed on 31st May by Warner Bros.
After Pattison heard that the script will focus on a younger Bruce Wayne, he had been keen on it. He explained that he had Batman in his mind for a while and that he had a desire to do it.
He said that he had been prodding Matt Reeves, the director. However, Matt did not respond to his pods and did not meet him. Revealing that he had a Batman outfit in his childhood, it seems like he has been aspiring to play the role since long.
According to the reports, writing of the script has been finished and the shooting will start in winter with an expected release in June 2021. Pattison will follow the paths of Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, George Clooney, Val Kilmer, and Ben Affleck.
