The Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista introduced his two adopted pit bulls, both of which are undoubtedly the cutest fur babies out there.
Taking to his social media account, the former WWE star said that the two pooches were rescued after they were “neglected and abandoned” for years.
“I needed them, they needed me,” Dave wrote in an Instagram post, alongside a slideshow of images, showing him with the two black-and-white dogs.
Sharing the story of the pit bulls, the 50-year-old revealed how “these beautiful babies spent the first six years of their lives neglected and abused.”
“And now they are going to spend the rest of their lives being spoiled and loved,” he said, before thanking the people who “worked so hard to keep them safe, find them a home and most importantly keep these two together.”
“Ladies and gentleman I introduce to you….. Maggie and Ollie Bautista,” he concluded.
Dave’s longtime friend Justin Long commented: “They just won the #DogLottery. So happy for all three of you! Cant wait to meet them.”
The actor is known to be a dire animal lover. He even has tattoos of his pit bulls Janie and Frankie, and another of his late Catahoula dog Sadie.
In a video made for the Humane Society of the United States last year, Dave opened up about the unique personalities of his dogs.
He said: “Frankie, he’s very quiet. But he’s funny, he’ll sit out in front and he’ll just wait for people to pass by and he’ll bark at ’em.
“He’s like the grouchy old man [going], Get off my lawn!’
“And Janie’s very much like the puppy. She never really grew up — she’s very energetic and she’s excited over everything.
“And then Sadie, who’s our oldest puppy, she’s very independent.”
As per Dave’s new canines Maggie and Ollie, they were living in Rescue Me Tampa, a volunteer organization, before he adopted them.
The dogs were surrendered to the shelter by their owner in October due to a new baby.
Rescue Me Tampa took to Facebook to find an owner for the two pooches so that they can stay together.
“They have no idea what they did to deserve this. It just breaks my heart. They lived their whole life together!!!” the organization wrote in a post.
On Wednesday, the shelter gave the joyous update of the two dogs getting adopted by the actor.
“Their new daddy is WONDERFUL,” the update post read. “Huge, gated property. Tempur Pedic dog beds! Doggy doors everywhere. They really will live the good life from here on out!!!”
“They’ll never be separated. They’ll always be loved and cared for,” the post added, before quoting Dave, who told them: “They had a bad first 6 years. I’m going to make sure the rest of their lives make up for that.”
Replaced!
