A black bear broke into a house and locked itself into a mudroom and then went to take a nap on the wardrobe shelf.
When the bear realized he has been trapped, he started tearing the room apart.
After reaching on the location, officers knocked on the window to wake the bear, it just yawned, they said.
Fortunately, they succeeded to unlock the door and allowed wildlife experts to tranquilize the bear to bring it out and send him back to the wild.
Missoula County Sheriff’s Office shared the details of the incident on Facebook writing, ‘’WOW!!! WHAT A DAY! Today at approximately 5:45 am deputies responded to a call-up Butler Creek for a bear stuck inside a home.’’
“When deputies arrived, they discovered this black bear had opened the door to the mudroom of this residence and somehow managed to deadbolt the door from inside.point 484 |

‘’When deputies knocked on the window, the bear was not the least bit impressed.point 333 |
He slowly stretched, yawned and, un-amused, looked toward the door.point 58 | Eventually, deputies were able to unlock the door in hopes he would hop down and leave.point 130 | However, their attempts were only met with more big bear yawns.point 183 | ’’point 189 | 1
‘’Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks showed up to assist and tranquilized the bear so he could be relocated. The homeowners were glad he was removed in good health, but won’t soon forget when this intruder came looking for the bear necessities!’’
Sidenote: This is another good reason to lock up, as we also have unconfirmed reports that he tried two other closets before he decided this one was juuuuuust right (kidding)! But seriously, lock up!’’
