Our mother nature always finds a way to amaze us.
While bees, birds, and other insects are all essential pollinators, hummingbirds seem to do the task with sparkles.
Hummingbirds are known for their jaw-dropping flying abilities and small size. Photographer Christian Spencer was relaxing on his verandah in Rio de Janeiro when he noticed a Jacobin hummingbird with the sun striking its wings, producing a magnificent rainbow effect.
In 2011, Mr. Spencer photographed the beautiful movements of the bird for the movie ‘The Dance of Time.’ It has since gained 10 international awards and tree best movie honors. After a few years, he revisited the subject.
In an interview with My Modern Met, he said: “I decided to try and photograph the same phenomenon created by birds’ wings with my camera,” adding the photos show ‘a secret of nature that cannot be seen with our eyes.’
