About two years ago, a woman ordered a Blue moon and Corona.
The event was in July 2015 at the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Tacoma, Washington State.
But due to the Washington state law, her attendant, Brian informed her that she was liable to order two beers at a time. The rules did not give that provision, and as a law-abiding venture, he feared to serve her with two beers at a go.
She then informed Brian that she was not going to consume the Corona, but rather give it to her brother who had died in Iraq sometimes back.
Brian as a keen follower and attentive listener, he handed her the second bottle of beer as well.
He must have been moved with the comments too. Losing a brother is heartbreaking but finding someone who honors her brother even outside the homestead also is a rare occasion more to be witnessed at the bar. What could have transpired in her mind to order him the drink nobody knows but they must have been enjoying the excellent family relationship.
During the whole time that the woman stayed in the bar to even have her lunch, the Corona was not even touched. She did not think of also taking that beer in remembrance of her late brother. This might have been her new brother’s best brand and thus the decision to serve him with at that hard times. The seat beside her was empty, but there the beer was. She even preserved him a chair to accompany her for the drink. She loved the brother too much I suppose.
Brian then served her with the bill upon completion of her lunch. She had ordered for two beers and lunch, and that is the budget she had to pay. Surprisingly, Brian gave her good news to the ear through the heart was still mourning. He told her that restaurant would pay for the beer she was served in honor of her late brother.
She appreciated Brian for his kindness. She wrote at the back of the receipt “thank you, an act of kindness goes a long way. It means a lot to me.” She then concluded her story by saying, “Have a great rest of your day -Grateful Soldier.”
But Brian did not end the unity at this point; he did not dump the bottle as it’s supposed to be after service, instead, him together with his coworkers went on to post it on Facebook to show what they have done in solemnity to the fallen soldier.
