The Golden Girl’s star Betty White still indulges in a cocktail with some French fries and hot dogs while in self-isolation.
The 98-year-old’s friend revealed the icon’s choice of drink is a vodka martini with ‘hot dogs and French fries.’
Betty’s friend told Closer Weekly: “Betty loves to joke that vodka keeps her young. She loves the image of her sitting at home in a rocking chair, drinking a martini and watching game shows, but she’s not really a big drinker. That’s not her. She’ll only take a few sips of a cocktail if the occasion calls for it.”
The icon herself told the magazine recently: “I’m blessed with incredibly good health. That’s something you appreciate a lot.”
Betty has been “doing very well” in self-isolation in her California home, her representatives told Today.
The rep said the TV legend ‘has helpers who are great’ and many ‘wild animals visiting’ her backyard. “The virus is afraid of Betty!” the rep expressed.
She lives in Carmel, California were “two ducks always come by to say hello. They waddle up to her glass door and look in.”
“No one permitted in except those who must,” but Betty still has many phone calls with her rep during which they “always have laughs.”
The Golden Girl’s icon has spent eighty years working in television and has been on many other popular programs including Hot in Cleveland and The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Betty starred on the hit show from 1985 to 1992 as Rose Nylund from the small farming town of St. Olaf, Minnesota. She was married to Charlie Nylund and they had five adorable children, Gunilla, Bridget, Kirsten, Adam and Charlie Jr.
The show ended as Bea Arthur didn’t want to continue anymore.
