Beyoncé, who has been busier than ever due to her role in The Lion King’s live-action remake as a voice actress and as the producer of the accompanying music album The Gift, still puts her kids before everything else.
Her life, like always, is centered around her seven-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, and twins Sir and Rumi, aged two.
According to a source from the inner circles of the star, “It might seem like her career would take up all her time, but it’s quite the opposite.
“Her career is always second and her kids are her first priority.”
Both Beyoncé and her 49-year-old husband Jay-Z schedule their days in a way to give their children all the time they need, making sure the three kids are happy, in good health and engaged in constructive activities.
“She’s busy making a schedule and taking care of her kids,” the source told the People Magazine.
“She makes sure they have scheduled activities and tutoring. She loves being a mom and wants to be around as much as possible.”
When it becomes difficult for Beyoncé to keep up with both family and work, the 37-year-old star known for molding people to her will takes a path that simultaneously fulfills both of her responsibilities.
An example of this can be seen in Blue Ivy’s appearance in a track in The Gift album. A cameo from Blue can be seen in the fifteenth track of The Gift, released last week.
The song, Brown Skin Girl, even gives writing credits to the seven-year-old and she can be heard singing a few lines in the song.
“Of course both Beyoncé and Blue love music. Blue loves singing, dancing and performing. She is a natural,” said the source, talking of the bond between Beyoncé and her daughter.
Blue Ivy would definitely be a part of extracurricular activities when she starts second grade at a private school in LA, but she would always be more delighted to spend time with her superstar mom.
The young girl loves to accompany her mom to video shoots, music recordings, award shows, and other events.
“She is very sassy, high energy and knows what she wants,” the source said. “Especially after the twins were born, Beyoncé made sure that Blue was able to embrace her new role as a big sister.
“She also lets her go to video shoots, award shows and music recording. They have a very special bond!”
And this bond can be seen in ‘Spirit,’ the track from The Gift album featuring the little girl.
