Justin Bieber has agreed to fight Tom Cruise in what would be the greatest bout in the history of UFC.
The 25-year-old singer, from Canada, recently took to Twitter to challenge the Hollywood megastar to a fight in the Octagon.
Tagging UFC chief Dana White, Justin wrote to his over 106 million followers: “I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to a fight in the octagon. Tom if you don’t take this fight your scared and you will never live it down.
“Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite?”
According to TMZ, White really wants to make this bout happen.
Justin has also agreed after his manager, Scooter Braun, was approached by UFC supremo White and Ari Emanuel, the co-CEO of the William Morris Endeavor agency that owns UFC, TMZ reported.
Braun has reportedly said that a match between Justin and Tom would ‘absolutely’ take place.
However, the Top Gun icon hasn’t yet responded to the message.
“So I’m gonna tell you something interesting, obviously, this thing came out – lots of people will talk about fighting somebody in the UFC, things like that,” the MMA boss said.
“Whether it’s NFL players, or celebrities or whatever, it happens a lot. So obviously I saw it like everybody else did and I didn’t pay much attention to it.
“It picked up a lot of steam and was everywhere.
“I’m not gonna say any names but I’m just gonna tell you that I got a phone call from a couple of real guys that said that they really do want to do this fight and they believe that Tom Cruise would do the fight.
“And I told them, ‘Well, I’ll tell you this, if that’s true, if that’s true and everybody involved in this thing really wants to do it, we can talk.
“Let me tell you what, I’d be an idiot not to make this fight. That would be the easiest fight to ever promote in the history of my career.”
If it happens for real, a clash between Justin and Tom would definitely eclipse even the famous 2018 bout between YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI in Manchester.
More than 21,000 people were there to watch the clash, another 1.2 million viewers streamed it on Twitch, while over 800,000 people paid $10 to watch it.
Justin vs Tom showdown may even cross the 2017 iconic match between Irish UFC superstar Conor McGregor and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
Let’s hope it really happens.
