There is a bipartisan bill that has been passed and is sent to the desk of the President Donald Trump to sign the bill.
The animal lovers in the country are happy with the pass of this bill.
The animal cruelty has become a federal felony and this bill has been passed by the Senate and it just needs the signature of the President.
As per the ABC News, the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act that is passed by the Senate would criticize the abuse of the animals.
This bill was first put in by Florida’s Democratic and Republican Representatives Ted Deutch and Vern Buchanan and is passed on October 22.
This bill has been sent to the Senate so it becomes a federal law when it is signed by the President. Officials hold all the rights to put the people who abuse the animals behind bars.
The abuse include crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating, sexually exploiting the animals, etc. There are a few exceptions that are given on hunting.
This legislation is the key victory that would put an end to the cruelty against animals and make it safe for communities.
There are evidences that prove that people who abuse the animals also commit violence against the people.
So, there is a strong law that has been put in force against the cruelty of animals and there are penalties imposed. No one in the civil society would torture or abuse animals.
There are many people who caught the ones doing these crimes. However, Congress is now sending the bill to the desk of the president to sign the law.
This bill is an extension to that of 2010 Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act. Moreover, as per this act, creation of videos and disturbing the crashing animals would be illegal.
Any person who is engaged in doing the federal crime would be punished. People who commit the crimes against animals would be put behind bars for 7 years and are charged with federal felony charges and fines.
