The video was shared online by the Labrador Retriever’s owner with the caption: “For about two weeks we have been watching the same bird stalking our Labrador Retriever, Maple. When Maple takes a nap, the bird flies down and spends several minutes pulling fur from her side and rear.”
“Then the bird flies into a bush and adds the dog fur to her nest. We have filmed her doing this at least three times. Maple only occasionally wakes up during these “fur harvest” sessions.”
The bird flies away when Maple wakes up from her sleep but comes back when she goes to sleep again.
The hilarious video went viral after it was posted online by Maple’s owner. The video received thousands of likes and comments and left everyone in stitches.
One user wrote: ‘This is genius. I never would’ve thought to use hair and fur like this’ while another added: ‘That bird must have the softest nest’.
One user said: ‘She’s building a nest with your dog’s fur lol’ while another said: ‘That bird must have the softest nest’.
One user said: ‘I think the bird was taking loose fur. The bird gets fur for the nest, the dog gets rid of loose fur. Win-win’ while another joked: ‘yo what’s up dog imma just take a few furs off ya to build my home and if you ever need any info on the streets i gotcha, just let’em know a little bird told you.’
One user shared: ‘When I groom our dogs I save the fur and then in the early spring I hang it our in our hedge in mesh bags. The birds come and take it from the bags.’
The bird is too smart and the dog is so adorable as she knows the bird is plucking her hair but she is letting her pluck her hair.
