After Stefanie Grimm saw her godson and other kids celebrating their birthdays at the hospital, she decided to create the Confetti Foundation.
To distract children and their families from sickness, Stefanie founded the Confetti Foundation that supplies birthday parties to children who are spending their birthday in a hospital, pediatric oncology clinic or hospice facility.
The mission of the Confetti Foundation is to celebrate a child’s birthday party even if he is sick because every child deserves to be celebrated.
This helps the child and the family to shift their focus from the child’s sickness for just 30 minutes and celebrate.
Through the partnership of children’s hospitals, pediatric oncology clinics and pediatric Hospice facilities in the United States, the Confetti Foundation provides a themed birthday party and happy memories during a difficult time.
Founder Stephanie Frazier Grimm’s Godson was born 8 weeks premature and her friend spent hours every day driving to her hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Stephanie saw one baby celebrating his 1st birthday whose entire life had been spent in the walls of the NICU.
She then decided to create the Confetti Foundation to celebrate children’s birthdays to make them feel better and the Confetti Foundation was founded in 2014.
Since 2014, the Confetti Foundation has been providing birthday parties and happy memories to children who are spending their birthdays at the hospital.
The founder of the Confetti Foundation believes the party is not a cure but it can be a welcome distraction and a good reminder that every child deserves to be celebrated.point 383 | 1
