An innocent 9-year-old girl passed away recently at her friend’s birthday party in Minneapolis.
The tragic incident’s victim was Trinity Ottoson Smith who was only playing with her friends on the trampoline when an unfortunate turn of events took place at her friend’s home in Brooklyn Center.
Police mentioned that young Trinity had been with her group of friends, having a wonderful time as they jumped upon a trampoline. But all of a sudden, an unidentified individual fired bullets from a vehicle towards the home where the birthday party was taking place on the 15th of May.
The victim’s mother says she still can’t believe what has taken place. She never expected her child to die like this, for no reason. “She certainly didn’t deserve this,” explained Trinity’s mother as she sobbed away.
Trinity was rushed to Robbinsdale’s North Memorial Health Hospital, and that’s where she died during the afternoon on Thursday, as confirmed by police.
“Since the past 12 days, that particular child has fought hard for her life. Unfortunately, the fight has ended,” mentioned a spokesperson for the police, John Elder. The victim’s father also confirmed his daughter’s death.
“Our little baby Trinity passed away today,” he explained on Facebook. “God has got her now,” he explained with a heavy heart.
Meanwhile, Trinity’s mum wrote on her child’s GoFundMe page, “They took our little girl away from us today. They robbed us of her presence and the beautiful life that she was living.”
Trinity’s death at a time and place when two other children were also hit by stray bullets in the vicinity of Minneapolis, during the last month.
On April 30th, a child by the name of Ladavionne Garrett Jr was also hospitalized from an unknown stray bullet incident that he incurred while riding inside a vehicle. In the same way, reports also confirmed how 6-year-old Aniya Allen also died after she was stuck with bullets while traveling back home in her family’s car.
