Race discrimination has been a widespread notion to all; however, one of the Black families in North Carolina has been a massive victim of it.
Adopting a kid from foster home treasures some dark sides but the intensity of the challenges is, even more, when it is a white child in a black family. The Baldwin family has become fatalities of several harassment cases including invasion of cops.
The story began back in July in the year 2017 as Jones Baldwin had received an invitation from a foster care program.
The Baldwin family has been a frequent participant in this program. However, the challenges, harassments and the invectives, Richardo Baldwin with spouse Keia Jones with their three children will continue to care more for their fourth child Princeton.
Baldwins first heard it from the foster caretaker whether they can seek medical support at the hospital and perform skin to skin with a baby. Yet the Baldwins did not think a minute hesitating. Jones headed to the hospital immediately.
The thirty-six-year-old mother met Princeton for the very first time in the NICU.
The premature exceptionally small and fragile baby weighed only one pound.
He had been a part of the foster home because of his mother who suffered from a medical condition of drug addiction which was quite harmful to little Princeton. However, Kiera Jones found Princeton incredibly doable and she knew exactly what to do next.
The Baldwin family had been open, warm and welcoming to the white child.
The family often got dodged by award stares, questions stating if Princeton was a stolen baby.
But Baldwins have been positive about every challenge and now runs a popular social media page that supports acceptance of cultures banishing barriers of racism posting interesting incidents and stories about their journey.
