Bong-Joon-Ho, the famous director of the film Parasite apologized to the Oscar engravers for making them put immense hard work in engraving the precious information into the various awards won by him.
The 50-year-old director won four awards back to back for the ‘Best Picture’, Best Screenplay, Best Feature Film and that for the ‘Best Director’ as well.
Bong has himself written the story of ‘Parasite’ and didn’t expect that he would win four awards back to back for it in this way.
The moment he received all the four awards one after the other, he couldn’t curb his emotion and said that kudos to all those people who have engraved his name so beautifully into these awards by making the best of their endeavors.
The way Bong asked for an apology is worth appreciating and it evinces the fact that he is equally humble and generous-hearted as he was during the budding stage of his career.
Besides, Bong also didn’t forget to pay a tribute to the other best director nominees which included Quentin Tarantino, Sam Mendes and that of Todd Philips.
That apart, he also acknowledged his gratitude and reverence for all these directors who had assisted at the beginning of his career and how that help has culminated in getting him all these four awards at a go.
The entire footage was taken after Bong received all the awards one after the other and that was the moment Bong couldn’t control but say that how guilty he felt while receiving each of those awards, because so many people’s immense hard work comprises these beautiful masterpieces, and now they would have lot of work to do in engraving these words.
Hopefully, Bong will be awarded such kind of prestigious awards for years to come but not of course without lamenting on the hard work of the engravers like this.
