All cities and towns might be put under lockdown just to stop the spread of coronavirus.
This is because Boris Johnson has shown his determination to take immediate action on the Government’s responses after he was accused of acting as a part-time Prime Minister.
As of yesterday, the cases of coronavirus in the UK has increased to 36, as there was an increase of 23 new cases on Friday.
Boris Johnson has decided to lead to the Government’s emergency committee known as Cobra today morning for the first time.
Mr. Johnson reassures the entire country that he has got a grip on this ongoing crisis.
Ministers are all gearing up to agree on the battle plan when he was asked to put all cities under lockdown to prevent the spread from taking place.
The Health Secretary Mr. Matt Hancock said that they cannot take anything off the table at this stage before they make sure that they have all the necessary tools available.
He also confirmed the population distancing measures, such as banning public gatherings, cancellation of football matches, and encouraging people to not travel on public transports.
These are some of the measures that Mr. Hancock is thinking of considering.
After Japan closed all their schools for a month starting from` today, Mr. Hancock thinks it might be necessary but such decisions are not yet taken, but will not be ruled out also.
He also said that there is no reason for shutting down some of the schools when there is no such case of coronavirus and also when there is no advice from the Public Health England.
The Cabinet Office is all set to turn into a war room, with all the NHS and communication chiefs included, where they will coordinate their responses.
This is because the number of cases has increased to 50% yesterday.
