The world talks about how the endangered animals should be saved as the world is already dying and we do not wish to live in a world where we humans are the lone survivors.
There are several species of animals that are endangered and on the edge of being extinct and to save them from being hunted down; governments of almost all the countries have banned hunting, tagging it as an unethical activity.
Borneo pygmy elephants are a species of elephants that are endangered and one Borneo pygmy elephant was recently found dead in Malaysia.
The dead body of the male elephant was found floating on the water. The elephant had more than 70 bullet holes in his body which is suspected to be the prime reason for his death as the poachers hunted him down for his tusks.
While the skin of elephants is thick enough, one bullet had hit his left temple that killed the poor animal.
The experts found out during the postmortem of the body that the elephant was shot more than 70 times however they said it was impossible to find out the order in which the elephant was shot and for how long the animal had to suffer before he died.
As they found the bullet that hit his temple as the reason for his death, the doctors said that it would have been instant after the bullet hit his temple.
Augustine Tuuga, director of Sabah Wildlife Department said that no matter how long did the animal had to suffer, his death was extremely cruel.
A video shared shows how the body was found almost drowned in the brown muddy water as the fisherman found it and informed the authorities.
The authorities then had to arrange heavy machinery to take the body out of the water body.
