An innovative entrepreneur has invented an amazing augmented-reality boxing gadget, giving a new experience of fighting through a smart glove.
The gadget has been created by Christian Thostrup’s startup named JABII. It gives you a physical exercise beside precisely tracking your moves on a digital screen.
The founder of JABII, from Copenhagen, Denmark, revealed that the idea popped up in his mind when he was boxing with his son.
His son who was losing complained that the game is unfair unless he had a similar range and height like his dad.
This inspired Thostrup to join an extensible arm with a boxing glove. But as soon as he started working on the project, he got something more amazing in his mind.
Apart from just extending an artificial arm and making it a bit forceful, Thostrup decided to advance the game by introducing more technological features.
“I wanted to create that experience for my kids’ generation, not by stopping the digital wave, but rather by utilizing it,” he said.
“That is how I made the decision to combine gaming and activity by rethinking physical play for kids and adults.”
The wonderful boxing gadget contains 42 coiled springs to enhance the extension and punching force of the wearer, providing an opportunity of equal play to everyone, regardless of age and physique.
What’s even startling is the mobile app which is integrated with the springy arm to control its settings.
The gadget can sense and measure the punching pressures and can display the fight progress on a digital screen. A rubber tip ensures safe hitting, allowing users to play fearlessly.
The app can even schedule matches with varying rules by intelligently accessing the progress.
JABII is becoming popular across the globe as it has made boxing even more interesting and enjoyable. The device is set to ship at the end of this year, however, you can pre-order it whenever you want.
