Not all heroes wear capes but their small effort makes them a real one.
Some stories prove that anyone from us can change the world for the better and they restore our faith in humanity. Sometimes children can brilliantly work and have the capability to solve problems better than adults.
A kind-hearted 9-year-old Russian boy Pavel Abramov is the perfect example of that.
The young artist from a small city of Arzamas in Nizhny Novgorod is a brilliant artist and has been painting beautiful portraits of pets.
His ambition is not to earn money for his toys or a new phone, as you would think. He makes his lovely portraits for animal food and donates it to a local shelter.
Pavel and his mother Ekaterina Bolshakova started this project with the name “Kind paintbrush” a year ago.
Pavel got this idea after losing his four-legged friend hit the family and he decided to do something for stray animals wandering the streets of the city.
In the memory of his dear Barsik, he starts making portraits to help, in the most creative and generous way.
The duo manages a group on Russian social media site, VK, called “What a little volunteer is capable of?” which proves that a little human can also bring a positive change and motivates the others too.
The little altruist doesn’t need funds and organizations, he doesn’t have managers and employees too.
But, all he has a big heart and an undeniable talent.
Pavel paints real pets of owners and makes a deal with them to provide kilograms of porridge, meat, and supplies in exchange for a portrait of their pet.
He knows each model’s name and he meets them after finishing the painting.
He paints through their photos and asks owners how they met their furry animals. The heartwarming stories of pets rescued from the cold streets touch Pavel’s heart.
There is the only animal shelter in Arzamas, and Pavel is the youngest volunteer there.
The shelter has over 100 dogs.
He makes portraits and in return, he asks for food, household supplies, accessories, depending on what the shelter needs at that time.
