A child who was born with one leg danced in delight when he stood on his feet for the first time.
The youngster was made to wear an artificial limb that helped him in moving and even dancing.
Brooks, who is just one, couldn’t conceal his excitement after learning that he could now stand and dance.
Despite being held strongly in his father’s hands, Brooks performed all the possible dance moves he could do to express his joy.
Brooks was beaming with joy and he was continuously bouncing up to show how happy he was.
The child’s mom, from Minnesota, was also over the moon when she saw her kid laughing and enjoying.
She filmed the moment Brooks tried to wear the device himself and shared it on YouTube, where it received several thousand views.
Brooks’ mom wrote with the video: ‘‘Brooks just received his first ever prosthetic leg. His father is assisting him to stand up on two legs and two feet for the first time ever!”
She added: “Brooks is so excited that he does a little dance while he tests out his new body part!”
Brooks was deprived of one leg since his birth due to a medical condition. Though he was still able to crawl, standing up, walking and running were considered nearly impossible for him, even in the future.
But all that changed, thanks to his innovative prosthetic.
Hopefully, Brooks will also be able to walk and run like a normal human being in the future.
Revealing how bravely and courageously Brooks endured the treatment procedures, his mother said: “He’s a very active little boy and he’s been so strong and resilient through all the doctors appointment and his surgery to amputate the digit that was at the bottom of his stump.
“He’s a very special, happy boy!”
