An adorable picture of two boys of different skin colors wearing the same outfits on Twin Day has gone viral after the mother brought a smile on their faces by buying them matching outfits.
As Britney Tankersley explained, her son, Myles, was determined to partner up with his classmate on Twin Day because the two were convinced they looked exactly the same.
And so, the loving mother bought the classmates matching outfits consisting of black pants and polo shirts with ‘future leader’ written on them.
“Late last night Myles went on & on about how he had to be twins with a boy in his class for Twin Day because they look exactly the same- same eyes, same hair,” the Alabama-based mum wrote in her Facebook post where she also shared the photo.
“He was adamant that they were identical. So after the kids went to bed I headed to Walmart at 9 pm to get matching outfits. Their teacher sent me this picture today.
“My heart melted. Obviously two very different children, but Myles didn’t see that. Wouldn’t the world be such a better place if we could all view it through the eyes of a couple [of] 5yr olds.”
After Britney shared the picture of her son and his classmate on social media, the story immediately went viral and racked up thousands of likes and comments.
“It’s so beautiful to see children accepting each other as brothers and sisters despite their obvious differences,” someone suggested.
Another one wrote: “I am so very glad to hear this. You have taught him correctly. No matter how some have different hair or color. We are made by God… we are to love all. One has to teach their kids to hate. We sure were not born hating people…you have to be taught. Such a shame. You are a good Mother.”
