A 10-year-old boy from Alabama is being praised after he returned $900 to a woman who dropped the money while shopping.
Foster Dudley was shopping at a retail store when he noticed an envelope in the middle of an aisle. When he opened it, he was shocked to find nine $100 bills. He then searched for his mother and said: “Mom, we have to find her and give it back.”
The young boy and his mother, Parisa, contacted the store manager of Target, Jeremy Walker, who contacted the police. Officers managed to locate the woman who lost the cash, thanks to the cashier’s receipt in the envelope with her name on it.
After two days, Foster met up with the woman, Verdina Ball, and returned the cash. It was an amazing occasion for the two of them as they posed for photos and shared a warm embrace.
To make the moment even more special, Target gave Foster a $100 gift card for what he did.
In an interview with ABC News Channel 6, Foster said: “It would’ve been cool to keep, but if I did keep it that wouldn’t be good for the lady.
“It was awesome to give her the money back. I felt very proud of myself and happy that I gave it back and I felt very powerful after I did it.”
One internet user commented: “God Bless this young fella 10×’s fold! Parents raised an Honest kid! Bless this beautiful woman!”
Another wrote: “God bless this boy! His parents must be very proud of him! They are doing a wonderful job raising their son.”
A third added: “Way to go Foster! You are awesome. Thanks to Target for rewarding Foster’s good deed. Kudos all the way around.”
