A kindhearted man described the moment he found a 3-year-old boy in the woods about five miles from his home.
The young boy had been missing for three days when he was found naked, dehydrated, and hungry but ‘calm.’
Tim said he became inspired to look for Christopher Ramirez after members of his Bible study class prayed for a ‘miracle.’
According to reports, little Christopher disappeared after he followed a puppy into the woods while his family was unloading items from their car.
He was found ‘dehydrated,’ ‘hungry,’ and ‘tired’ about six and a half miles away from his home. But the young boy was in ‘overall good spirits,’ said Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell to 6 ABC.
More than 200 search and rescue teams had combed the wooded area to find Christopher.
“There had been a lot of people in this community praying for this little boy,” Tim said. “Many had given up hope. The story is don’t give up hope.”
The Good Samaritan, described by police as ‘humble’ and ‘kind,’ told Click2Houston how he was less than a mile down ‘the pipeline’ in the wooded area when he saw the 3-year-old ‘unscathed.’
“He wasn’t shaking, he wasn’t nervous. He was calm,” he added.
The night before Tim found Christopher, he was in a community Bible study and heard the story mentioned by members of the class.
The next day, he felt ‘prompted by the Spirit’ to search for the body and he found him in less than two hours.
“I was walking up the pipeline and I heard a noise, but it sounded like maybe it could be an animal in distress,” Tim shared.
“Sometimes a deer will do that … So I’m walking a bit further and I’m listening hard. I’m wanting to hear a child. Then I hear what sounds like a human child in distress, but I couldn’t understand the words. As it turns out, he only speaks Spanish. But every time I heard, I yelled out ‘Hello! Hello!’”
“I picked him up and he was totally naked, no shoes, no clothing, nothing. He might have had a few scratches, but I didn’t check him out to see. But he was unscathed. Three days without food or water,” Tim added.
“God is still in the miracle business. He’s still answering prayer.”
