An eight-year-old boy is getting all praises for his selfless deed after he re-filled a bowl of Halloween treats from his own stash for other kids.

According to The Washington Post, Leslie Hodges wanted to take her three-year-old daughter out trick-or-treating this Halloween but husband, Kevin was working and she thought there would be no one in to answer the door.

She decided to leave a big bowl of candy on her porch so other kids in her area wouldn’t miss out. They left the home and the security camera captured something really amazing.

The footage showed a boy donning his Halloween look walked up to the porch and look into the bowl to see it has already been emptied.

In the video, he says: “All gone,” before turning to his family and shouting: “There is no more candy!”

The boy was later identified as Jackson Champagne who arrived at Hodges’ home only to find an empty candy bowl outside. Jackson’s motive was to refill the candy bowl so other kids didn’t go home empty-handed. After finding out candy bowl empty, he takes out some candies from his Halloween bag to refill the bowl.

Leslie posted the clip on her Facebook account and wrote ”Caught this on our Nest camera…. this has got to give hope to everyone that there are still amazing people in this world. What a selfless act from this little guy! ❤️ Kudos to his parents!!! #imnotcrying.”

The post has garnered more than 100K likes, comments and shares. Social media users praised little Jackson for his kind act.

After the post went viral,  Jackson’s father Ty Champagne contacted Leslie and Kevin. The couple asked if they could give Jackson more candy so he would ‘know how much he touched everyone,’ but his parents didn’t accept the offer.

Hodges then asked to give Jackson gift card to his favorite store, according to The Washington Post. Now, Leslie and Kevin have a plan to meet with the Champagnes this weekend so they can give a Target gift card to Jackson and thank him for his selfless deed.

”That’s the type of kid Jackson is. He’s always giving,” Ty, 27, told the Post, ”He’s a very sweet, kind and soft-spoken kid “I’ve never seen a moment where he acts out negatively toward humanity.”
