A 7-year-old boy is being hailed a hero after saving his 20-year-old sister from drowning in pool when she had a seizure.
Morgan Smith, his sister, was on the bottom step of the swimming pool when she started having seizures, according to CBS 47 Action News JAX. She does not remember what happened.
7-year-old Aiden McCullough told the news outlet that his sister fell backward into the pool. “I was thinking like, ‘Oh my God. Oh My God. She’s going to die,’” he expressed.
The young hero immediately grabbed Smith by her hair and held her above the water. He then screamed for help until someone came.
His big sister is very thankful that Aiden was “in the right place at the right time.”
To Smith, her brother is more than just a hero. He is an “angel.”
She told Action News JAX: “I know that there are real life angels because I’m lucky enough to call him mine. I have an everyday superhero in my life.”
Aiden said of saving his big sister: “I think it’s amazing. I will never forget it.”
After the incident, their bond has become stronger than ever. Smith told Aiden: “I love you and I’m so thankful for you every day. You are forever my hero and every day, I’m only more thankful that I get to call you my little brother. Sissy always loves you.”
He responded: “I love you always too.”
Smith said to CNN she would’ve drowned his little brother wasn’t there. “He has never been taught how to help me. He just knew I needed to be helped and did it.”
