Some parents work hard and put extra effort to make their kid’s school photos very special, and we all have school photo memories.
But one dad did something really different for his kid’s school photo – challenged him to wear a hot dog costume.
Craig Arsenault asked his nine-year-old son Jake to wear the outfit that he was going to wear on the Halloween, for his Id photo.
He also promised him $10 (£7) if he accepts the dare.
You must be thinking that only a dad can do this, but not surprisingly his mom was actually involved as well, which makes it even more special.
Craig shared the picture on Facebook and wrote: “My wife and I dared our son to wear a hot dog costume for school pictures. The school let him do it, and I couldn’t be happier.”
According to USA Today, Craig’s wife Kari wrote a letter to her son’s school. She asked for permission and explained about the dare as well.
It read: “We are aware and OK with Jacob Arsenault’s intention to wear his hot dog costume for school pictures, if possible.”
But, even after completing his dare, Jake has received only $7 of the $10.
Arsenault only has given Jake $7 in spare cash – he still owes his son $3.
The brave kid also posed in regular clothes, his picture dressed up in a hot dog costume will be used on a spare copy of the school ID.
His dad said, that Jake loved the attention but regretting one thing that he should wear this costume for a full day instead of a half-day.
He said, that people appreciate the funny side while some people have shown their concern over Jake’s safety after his ID card was on the internet. Craig also said that those people are living in fear.
