An 11-year-old partially deaf boy named Jaydan, from Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, was slapped, punched and strangled when he was on a school bus.
His 31-year-old mother, Amy Hanson, received the video of her son being bullied by someone and pleaded online to stop bullying her 11-year-old son who has now stopped leaving his bedroom.
When she asked her son about the video, his reaction broke her heart. Jaydan said: “Mum, seriously it’s OK. Don’t get involved, I’m used to it now.”
The mother, who is a hospital worker, took to Facebook to slam the people who think her son is a ‘punchbag’.
The mother wrote: “This boy right here. He is not your punch bag, he is not your stress relief, he is not a fighter, he is not your excuse to lose your shit, he is not fat, he is not ugly, he is not deaf, he is not your bait, he is not your target, he is not a reason for you to make yourself feel better or for you to use because you can’t do it yourself.”
She said she won’t watch him suffer anymore and it’s not okay to hurt her child.
She said he is sensitive and harmless and the bullying has affected his confidence and he has stopped leaving his bedroom.
What breaks her heart the most is her son’s reaction as she said: “He tells me every day he’s OK and he’s happy but inside he’s a broken boy who braves the world to continue to be your punch bags.”
She added: “I pray one day you see the damage you’re all doing. This boy right here he told me tonight “it’s ok mum, I’m fine. I’ve got used to it now”.
The mother told her son has been bullied since he was three and has been called fat, deaf and ugly.
Amy warned the people who have hurt her son that she won’t spare anyone now. She is now sending Jaydan for boxing lessons so he can learn self-defense.
When Amy’s post went viral online, it received an overwhelming response and people started sending cards for Jaydan.
Amy said: “When he received his first card through the post he was over the moon. I saw a smile on his face that I haven’t seen for a while.”
