A woman has gone on a frantic search for her beloved dog after she came home only to find out that her malicious boyfriend had sold the pooch while she was busy at work.
25-year-old Ashley Farley fell in love with Ella the Pomeranian the moment she first laid her eyes on the little pooch. When the woman moved from Nevada to L.A., Ella was always there to help her cope with the change and comfort her whenever she felt lonely.
Unfortunately, however, the same can’t be said for Ashley’s now-ex-boyfriend. As the 25-year-old found out one day after returning from her work, her boyfriend had sold her beloved dog for $600 and told her she would never see Ella again.
“Trying to find a new home for my gorgeous little princess,” the evil boyfriend wrote in his Craigslist advertisement.
“Just got a new job, so I have to move across the country and my new place does not allow dogs of any kind.”
Speaking of the dreadful moment her boyfriend confronted her with the grim news to Inside Edition, Ashley said:
“He smiled at me with this, like, really spiteful look and was like, ‘Well, babe, I sold her while you were at work … and you’re never going to see her again.’”
As Ashley added, her ex then broke up with her and teased her by sending her a video of Ella with her new family after he had returned back to California.
“I can’t explain the empty feeling I felt and how I felt my heart just drop to the bottom of my stomach.
“I felt like a hole had been punctured through my heart, like part of me was missing.”
Following the incident, Ashley pleaded with people to hear her story and help her recover her beloved pet. Fortunately, the couple who adopted Ella saw the 25-year-old’s plea in the news and decided to give the pooch back free of charge.
“They were the sweetest people I have met,” Ashley said, explaining how the couple didn’t want to take any money from her despite the fact they had paid $600 for the dog.
